  • Use a password manager like Keepass
  • Use 2 factor authentication when available

  • Use the same passphrase for more than 1 account or device
  • Substitute letters for numbers like p455w0rd
  • Use single dictionary words, not even in a foreign language
  • Use keyboard sequences eg. asdfghjkl (UK) or azerty (French)
  • Base your passphrase on personal information eg. pet's name, date of birth
